That sentence took me 30 years to write.

Not because the words were hard to find. Because the experience behind them had to be lived first. I had to start as a receptionist and work my way to VP. I had to lead at the national and state level. I had to mentor hundreds of people in this industry, some over formal meetings and some over coffee and voice memos throughout the day. I had to be told I was too much, sit with that, believe it for a while, shrink because of it, and then make the decision to stop shrinking.

All of that is in the work I do now.

I know because I have been every one of those people.
